Your BMR is only 1900? That sounds a little low for a big guy like you. I'm 5' 9", 33 years old... I just checked an online calculator and it says my BMR is about 1700. Goodness gracious that's a low number. Here I've been restricting my calories to 1900 calories and thinking I was 500 below my BMR. By the way, I found the number I was using (2400) with the iPod app Lose It!

I'll have to rethink my strategy. Somehow I've been able to drop 7lbs of fat and increase my strength a good amount.

Good deal!

I managed to avoid today's eat-a-thon by conveniently scheduling a 5-hour tattoo session at 3 pm.

Rob,

Energy balance is my primary guide. I don't really seek out any particular food for it's marketing merit as being 'healthy' or not...mostly because there is no such thing as a 'healthy' food.

John-
On regular, non-celebration days, what do you do in terms of trying to eat "healthy" food? Or, is energy balance all that you go for?
