Talking about this just reminded me of two guys I used to know, who picked up some Equipoise from a friend, like £1000 worth of Ganabol, but the only training they would do was to run up and down a flight of stairs and do some press-ups a few times a week, which doesn't seem too bad until I found a out they'd drink like 5-6 pints of lager every night before and after their "workouts". Brilliant.

Andrew,

I'm with you, most people have no idea how common steroid use is. About half of my high school football team was on them, and I'd say that was about average for most of the high school teams in our city. I'd also say that approx 25% of all the guys in any gym that I've ever been to are on something. And of course this accounts for the top 25% (with respect to size and strength)

Most guys who've never been in those circles will never really get how many people are 'on' and the difference between what is achievable without drugs vs with drugs.

On the other hand though, I know/ train with/ have trained with, a lot of guys who use a scary amount of gear who don't even really look as though they train too hard. It's scary how prevalent it is in my home town. I must look like I work out because any time I bump into someone I haven't seen in a while, they start telling me how much gear they're on, I always feel like asking them when they plan on beginning to train.
