Food Poisoning really sucks

This is going to be a short one cuz I got food poisoning last night…not sure what exact kind but it took about 5 hours from eating to hurling. Drinking a glass of water seems like a herculean task at the moment.

This could possibly be the worst feeling on earth, I was going to look up some food poisoning statistics but I just can’t focus on the computer monitor that well just yet.

To make things worse the water in my building is turned off because the city is working on a water main outside! So I’m here with food poisoning and no functioning water source (until this evening) …awesome!

Well this is the first time I’ve ever had this so I guess that is pretty good, 35 years without every getting food poisoning.

Not sure if that is good or bad, not really sure if what I’m writing is making any sense right now either.

Thanks for the comments on the book idea. Many of those items will be things that Brad Pilon and I will be covering in the next semester of our online course. I’ll be releasing more details for the May 1st start date in the weeks to come.

I had foodpoisoning ones, and almost deid from it. At least I experienced it like that.

Obviously, fasting is pretty standard when one has food poisoning, but on a side note, I notice that I recover from any kind of sickness (flu, cold, whatever) much quicker if I begin to fast at first signs of illness.

oh man, I remember getting food poisoning once from having eaten McDonald’s when I was 14. It was once of those McDonald’s halfway between Toronto and Montreal. The next day at school I spent a good 2 hours periodically barfing in the nurse’s washroom. Got to go home but couldn’t eat for a couple of days. I f-ing despise nausea. You’ll be back in shape in a few days I’m sure.

man, I kinda doubt you have food poisoning if you can blog! Last time I had it, there was no getting up off the cool comfort of the bathroom tiles for almost 24 hours… it was horrible.

glad to know yours is passing faster than mine did!

    John,
It may be a bit better, than food poisoning. That normally gets you in bed with fever for a week. You may have eaten something bad or heavy for your guts, that will torture you until you get rid of it, but it will take a day maximum, it will drain your strength, but you get better immediately afterwards. In this case try to trace back what it was, and remember for the rest fo your life. Unfortunately I have these once in every 6 month time, due to my extra-sensitive stomack… I hope you are in bed at the moment, as it is no use trying anything else.

Sorry about the food poisoning. It’s not fun AT ALL! You do lose some weight during the time that you are sick though. Not exactly a fun way to lose it. Someone earlier posted that they have fasted before they get sick. I have always questioned whether I can fast when I am sick or not. So what are your thoughts on the matter?
    Get well soon.
